As we all age, lots of things change. Accessibility needs grow, living spaces get smaller, and things continues to pile up. These changes can make decluttering your home that much harder, let alone packing it all up and moving to a new place!
That's why we help elders make more comfortable homes. Whether they're moving to a smaller space or outgrowing their current one, we'll help declutter and organize and no-cost to our clients.

Who we work with
Everly’s Senior Support Services focus on providing downsizing services to queer or queer adjacent seniors living on Capitol Hill and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our services are free of charge, allowing seniors with limited options the opportunity to create a space where they can safely and more comfortably age in place or, if a move is involved, ready themselves for a new chapter.

Our program was created for members of the queer community, but we are open to working with allies on a case-by-case basis.

We can get you connected with a local archivist from the Queer Culture Club to share your story while we work through this emotional process.

We partner with local cleaning companies to tidy up after your items are removed so that you have one less thing to worry about.

Whether you're downsizing to move or cleaning out to stay, we'll help our clients navigate the moving process.

Sponsor a Home Visit
Most Everly clients receive between 2 - 4 home visits, working on the client's project in a timely manner. We want to have maximum impact in our clients' spaces in the shortest amount of time so they can really see and enjoy the results.
Buy a Client a New Bed Frame (or Other Necessities)
Several of our initial clients did not have bed frames for their mattresses, either having left them behind in previous moves or discarded as they fell apart. Just getting a bed off the ground can really transform someone's living situation.
Sponsor an Intake
Everly staff meet with potential clients to learn about their situation, what goals the individual has for their space and belongings, the projects they see Everly helping with, and, if we can help, we make a plan to get it done!
How You Can Help
Sponsor an Apartment Cleaning
Many seniors may have lived in their current situation for many years, if not several decades. Often cleanliness is as challenging as clutter. We have provided apartment cleaning to two clients who needed a reset once we had straightened up and downsized a lot of their accumulated items.
Sponsor a Client's Move
One of our main goals is to provide move support to queer seniors. We can help inventory items, prep and box items for moving, be there for logistical support, and help on the back end of unpack and get settled. Oftentimes seniors are forced to move quickly and without a chance to really take stock and decide what to take or leave behind. If Everly can be there for folks before they pack, we can really help make the process as pleasant as possible.
