Everly’s Senior Support Services provides downsizing services to queer or queer adjacent seniors living on Capitol Hill and surrounding neighborhoods.

Our services are free of charge, allowing seniors with limited options the opportunity to create a space where they can safely and more comfortably age in place or, if a move is involved, ready themselves for a new chapter.

We help Queer elders reclaim space and independence.

Sponsor a Home Visit

Most Everly clients receive between 2 - 4 home visits, working on the client's project in a timely manner. We want to have maximum impact in our clients' spaces in the shortest amount of time so they can really see and enjoy the results.

Buy a Client a New Bed Frame (or Other Necessities)

Several of our initial clients did not have bed frames for their mattresses, either having left them behind in previous moves or discarded as they fell apart. Just getting a bed off the ground can really transform someone's living situation.

Sponsor an Intake

Everly staff meet with potential clients to learn about their situation, what goals the individual has for their space and belongings, the projects they see Everly helping with, and, if we can help, we make a plan to get it done!

How You Can Help

Sponsor an Apartment Cleaning

Many seniors may have lived in their current situation for many years, if not several decades. Often cleanliness is as challenging as clutter. We have provided apartment cleaning to two clients who needed a reset once we had straightened up and downsized a lot of their accumulated items.

Sponsor a Client's Move

One of our main goals is to provide move support to queer seniors. We can help inventory items, prep and box items for moving, be there for logistical support, and help on the back end of unpack and get settled. Oftentimes seniors are forced to move quickly and without a chance to really take stock and decide what to take or leave behind. If Everly can be there for folks before they pack, we can really help make the process as pleasant as possible.
